Hi, my name is Anton and I am from The Netherlands. In 1991 I made my thesis work on industrial robots and got a job as trainer and researcher at a robot center in Eindhoven. Since 2004 I am involved in Worldskills competitions as Dutch expert on Mobile Robots. In 2007 I hope the first mobile robot competitions will take place in Japan with at least 6 countries from all over the world. We will use the new Robotino robots from Festo didactic. In 2004 we started also with the Ducth Skill competitions on mobile robotics. I therefor used the ER1 robot from Evolution. A very nice robot, easy to program, perfect image recognition software and low level programming. This year I will start building our own robots using the Basic stamp II microprocessor. So anywone who has experiences, please let me know.
