Steve just posted about Kyosho Humanoid competition, I'd
like to add that Robots
Dreams site ( in
english ) has been extensively covering it in many recent
posts, and posting several videos of the event.

So robots.net has posted their christmas shopping
list.. and i note that once again, none of the kits have
motion feedback sensors on them. Encoders are still missing
first and foremost, then gyros/accelerometers, and full
IMUs.
Cmon guys, its long past time to take this hobby to the next
level and start building real robots. without feedback, the
possibilities will remain foreved limited. You are not going
to build a robot that will fetch a beer from fridge without
motion feedback.
