This robot is named 'Twitchy' for its occasional spasms. The robot was built some years ago. The idea was to make a 'walking' robot using the least number of motors. The robot has just one leg that is uses to drag it self forward. The 'sleigh' houses all the electronics and batterys. The skids are very low friction Teflon pads, hinged to help the leg lift the front of the robot of the ground and yet keep a good low friction contact point at the back.

The robot was very interesting to watch as it lumbered about. At some point I may build a new version from the remains of the old one. Over time I've realized it could also be a one armed robot as well as a one legged robot. This by simply adding a gripper to the 'foot'.
