| This is my first robot attempt. it has all the basics, 2
servos, right, left and center IR capability using one detector. the
IR is modulated at 38KHZ to filter ambient light. i used an
BASIC STAMP II for the controller and is programmed in Pbasic.
the platform is a jazz disc jewel case. the robots main
behavior is to find the brightest spot in a room while avoiding all
objects it comes across. the big problem i had with this
robot was finding a platform to put it on. i had breadboarded the
whole robot before i had anything to put the electronics on.
this robot took about 2 weeks to complete and cost around 45
dollars (cost of the oopic) the rest of the parts were spare parts
i had at home. all in all, a good first robotic experience.

Additional info added 12/2/2000
- This robot was invented in Thailand by using a
PARALLAX's micro controller 'Basic Stamp II".
- Two infrared sensors are used to control this
robot. One is to control track lines and the other is
to prevent bumping while it is working.
- Two servo motors are used in driving system.
