The R4 project was created to make a robot that represented to The University of Southern Mississippi in the SECON 98, an electronics engineering conference organized by the IEEE.

Hardware and Software:
NEW!! We have published all the schematics and source code on our web site. There are a lot of working designs that you can use or modify for your own robot; Intel CPU, tracking line system, ultrasonic range meter, IR. detection and more (look in the outline). Furthermore, here is source code in assembler and Visual Basic for all the programs such as BIOS and UPLoader.

VRML Models:
We have included some Virtual Reality, VRML, models. We made the R4 robot model almost one year before the competition to try to confirm every measure and to show the final aspect to the faculty before building it. In addition, there is a model of the play field to show what the competition is like.
